Solitary and historic, the Ashland Town Forest is unforgettable.
The Ashland Town Forest is comprised of 550 acres of forest, streams and trails. Hike one of its five trails, ranging from a half mile to two miles and you'll see vernal pools, open pit quarries, streams, abandoned cars, and likely, deer. Walking in these woods is a solitary experience; great for those looking to get away from it all. Explore the trails near the water tower to find historic sites that played a part in the colonial Salem Witch Trials of the 1600s.
Plan B:Head to the Danforth Museum in Framingham's downtown for an indoor alternative.
Where to Eat Nearby:Framingham's downtown has several Brazilian eateries and markets.
