Skyscrapers, Inc. is a group of amateur astronomers who share a love of the sky. Members include knowledgeable veterans and beginning observers who get together regularly to discuss and learn about the science of astronomy. The general public is welcome to come (free of charge) to observe the wonders of the night sky. Our family recently visited Skyscrapers to observe Saturn which was about 821,000,000 miles from the Earth. It was amazing, the planet was so brilliant, reflecting the Sunlight with rings and all. Our son's reaction, "Oh wow" to seeing a planet so clearly with his own eyes was well worth our visit. There are also two additional telescopes that were in operation out back behind the main observatory. Here, another member explained and guided us to view a collapsing star, and other clusters. Be sure to see the historical display at the observatory entrance. This is a low key, friendly environment. We spent about an hour there viewing the night sky. (Be sure to also bring a small flashlight)
