This wonderful trail network has something for everyone and every skill level. Small kids will love the short walk down to the pond's edge where they can take in signs of beaver activity, waterfowl, and pond plants. Older kids can follow the trail to the other side of the pond through forests and around glacial erratics. Those with a lot of energy and good footing will enjoy the longer habitat trail and the rocky outcrops on the Chimney Trail. Rock Meadow Pond on the northern end of the Habitat Trail often has active Great Blue Heron nests atop the power lines. Be very careful crossing the road!
