This museum in Gloucester is right at the water and gives kids the opportunity to touch sea stars, watch different kinds of fish swim around in large tanks, and hold lobsters and other ocean creatures. Kids can also learn more about the ocean, ships and Gloucester's fishermen while enjoying some down-time in a playroom that overlooks a woodworking shop. From the outside aquarium, which holds ocean animals that were caught by local fishermen by accident and set free by late fall, you can walk out on a huge deck that leads to a schooner, which you are able to tour. The museum is just nestled into Gloucester's Harbor Loop, which is across from restaurants and Main Street that has all sort of shops, ice cream stands, and more.
