This park is a fabulous location for family hikes and picnic gatherings. The trails are varied in length and topography, and great for viewing wildlife and exploring - you really feel like you are deep in the woods! If your time is limited, you can drive all the way to the top and hang out at the scenic overlook. There are several picnic areas and shelters available - check out the website for reservation options.

Plan B:

In case of rain, there are three different shelters throughout the park to take cover under. There is also a playground near the North entrance for younger children.

Where to Eat Nearby:

Main Street and Moody Street are just a 5-10 minute drive from the park, and have several kid-friendly options. B&F Pizza is also nearby on Lake Street, which has a large menu.
