Pond Meadow Park, on the Braintree/Weymouth line, offers easy walking, hiking and biking for families with kids of all ages. A 2-mile paved bike route circles the 20-acre pond, and various hiking trails branch off to take visitors closer to the water, or through the nearby forests and meadows.

Strollers are popular and easy to navigate here! There are also picnic areas and benches available for snacks or meals.

One drawback: one end of the park abuts Route 3 and the traffic noise mars one's sense of being truly out in nature. However, the expanse of the park and its convenience for residents of the Braintree and Weymouth area helps to offset that.
