Bathrooms: Bathrooms, open seasonally, are by the playground on Route 60.

Venture down to the shallow brook where you can muck about in the mud, move rocks around to change the path of the brook and create small pools, and wade and splash!

Skip the splash deck and playground (or not) and venture down to the shallow brook where you can muck about in the mud, move rocks around to change the path of the brook and create small pools, wade and splash, and find small critters like water bugs and snails. On hot, sunny days, the brook is cool and shady. You can plunk down on the ground for a picnic or grab a picnic table. There's also a large open field next to the brook and some easy trails. Water shoes/water sandals are helpful because the rocks can be slippery and you can't always see where you're stepping. Bare feet are not recommended. Note that Beaver Brook spans Route 60 and the section described here is the "Waverly Oaks Southern Section." Across Route 60 and around the corner, there are also good hiking and exploring options. The splash deck/playground section is right along Route 60 and provides a large, sheltered picnic area as well as restrooms which are open seasonally. Heads-up: Lots of people walk their dogs along the brook and let them run in the field. Most are well-behaved, but many are off-leash.
