This wonderful loop hike is accessible by public transportation. Only 45 minutes from NYC by Shortline bus and a bit over an hour using the Metro-North (Port Jervis line). Many trails offer a variety of terrain, length, and difficulty. A visitor's center and bathrooms are located about one mile in along the Pine Meadow trail. Recommended for older children who can independently go down a steep descent (ages 9+). This trip idea highlights the following route: Pine Meadow trail >> H-T-S trail >> Seven Hills trail >> Reeves Brook trail. A great loop!
