Getting Started - Tips for Successful Outings
Teaching kids about the outdoors
by keclectic

One of the things I think outdoor outings lend themselves to is teaching children about nature and the natural world.  When I take my child on an outing I want her to know about the environment.  How and when to have a safe fire and the "leave no trace"  philosophy. Being outdoors is fin but it is also a chance to teach our children about caring for our planet. Have there been ways that you have incorporated lessons about our world in your outings with your family? Kai
