Callahan Stream

This beautiful 820-acre park has seven miles of marked trails through varied terrain, including open fields, deep woods and paved roads. Be sure to walk the Earthen Dam and visit Eagle Pond on the Framingham side, and make your way over to the Marlborough side of the park if you're looking for more challenge. A steep hill and rocky trails lead the way to scenic Beebe Pond. Good for a short walk in the woods or an all-day hike. Horses and dogs welcome. All-terrain strollers will be able to handle many of the trails off of the Millwood entrance. The southern section of Callahan is especially popular for dogs walkers.

Plan B:

Go north to visit the Assabet Wildlife Refuge's visitor center.  Their indoor center includes exhibits, videos and programs for all ages.

Where to Eat Nearby:

Grab ice cream at Eastleigh Farm for a real treat!

The north side is less visited, but also more challenging.  Watch out for off-leash dogs at this park.
