Bathrooms: Restrooms are inside the Bacon Free Library
Water/Snacks: Water can be found inside the Bacon Free Library. Coffee shop across the street sells snacks.

Several picnic tables, benches and overlooks on both sides of the river provide places to enjoy the water.

A beautiful spot for picnicking and watching the Charles River rush over the dam. Several picnic tables, benches and overlooks on both sides of the river provide places to enjoy the water. Up the river, a beautiful stone bridge is another landmark to check out. While I was there, I saw some kayakers take their boats out of the river.

Plan B:

Take kids to the Botanical Gardens and greenhouses at Wellesley College.

Where to Eat Nearby:

The Charles River Coffee Shop is across the street.
