Mt. Moosilauke (4,802') has arguably a view rivaled in the White Mountains only by Mount Carrigain in the central Pemigewasset and Mount Washington. Fingers crossed for a crystal clear day allowing for this view. This hike is a pre-trip hike limited to participants attending our AMC Tour de Mont Blanc (TMB) trip July 2021. The hike is 7.6 miles, moderately-paced, out-and-back, and requires 3,123 feet elevation gain with some steep ascents. Participants are required to bring face masks and hand sanitizer with 60% or greater alcohol content, per AMC guidelines, and abide by social/physical distancing for the duration of the event. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in the activity or opt out.
