The Life is Good Festival kicks off in Canton, MA on 9/22 - it's a two-day event great for families with great musical acts for kids and adults (Fresh Beat Band, Dave Matthews, Kidz Bop, Sara Bareilles, and more!) as well as arts and crafts, activities and great food.
Fall is quickly approaching and its so easy as the weather gets cooler to do more and more indoors. This year I am challenging myself to incorporate more outdoor activities in the Fall and especially the winter months. Camping in the fall, apple picking at Tougas or Parlee orchards, cross country skiing at Weston ski track or Fresh Pond Reservation and ice skating at the many municipal rinks or this year in a park down the street are all things we would enjoy doing in the colder months, but with the days getting shorter and all the activities that kids have it's easy to find yourself huddled in your house.

Tip of the Day
Make a leaf sailboat. A fallen leaf can be the sail, a stick the mast, and a pinecone or piece of bark the boat body. Head to a nearby pond, stream, or backyard kiddy pool to sail it.
